For a little culture, 800 metres from Mar de Pulpi is the heart of San Juan de los Terreros, where you can find all types of shops and services. A few minutes down the road by car and you can find Aguilas, offering the types of services you would expect from a large town. Mar de Pulpi itself offers a centro commercial with several restaurants, a gym and a small supermarket.
